Who We Are

Peel Paramedic Union, OPSEU Local 277, is a Local of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union. We represent nearly 800 members in the Region of Peel in Ontario, Canada. We are recognized as world leaders in pre-hospital care and research. The members of Local 277 respond to over 130,000 calls annually, and are among the highest for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival.

As we continue to grow and strive for excellence in our field, Peel Paramedics and Logistic Technicians proudly participate in research to advance medical knowledge. We are also recognized as having the best door to balloon times in heart attack.

Our Union Local is run by the membership at local meetings. In between meetings the Stewards and the Local Executive Committee deal with day to day operations and advocacy. Peel Paramedic Union proudly represents the Paramedics that provide service to the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississauga’s of the Credit.
